Perfect for Preventing Water, Not So Much for Fit July 28, 2010

I purchased the Waterproof Underwater Case for my Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS. I was drawn to the low price of the case, compared to that of Canon's highly expensive cases. I was slightly hesitant about whether this case could be waterproof at such a price, but after testing it, it proved to be successful at preventing water from coming into the pouch.
This case isn't a hard case, but rather more of a thick plastic pouch. There are multiple ways that the case was constructed to prevent incoming water, which I found provided me with relief and trust for the product. My only complaint is that my PowerShot seems to slide around, as the case is too large for such a small camera. This was a bit of a disappointment, as the case lists the PowerShot SD1200 IS specifically. However, at such a good price, I would purchase again.

This was an inexpensive way to have an underwater camera. It worked very well. Used it snorkeling in Grand Cayman's, Cozumel, and Roatan. We used a Canon 1200IS and the camera never got wet. Packed some dry tissue paper around the camera to position it in the case and keep it secure in the bag and it worked like a charm. Took good, clear pictures underwater.

Took some great shots with my Canon 960 camera in Grand Caymon. Taking picture in splashing water on the surface or under water was an absolute pleasure. The case came with an extender for the zoom lens. My camera worked fine with it. I also inserted a short 1/4" rubber hose to keep the camera from dropping to the bottom of the oversized case. The hose kept the camera level and centered to the lens opening.
Just What I Was Looking For July 2, 2010

This product was exactly what I was looking for. I have used it in our pool with my Canon SD780IS twice now and have some really AWESOME shots (and video) of the kids above and below the water's surface. The pictures and video come out very clear. It is difficult to see the LCD through the case, but that's to be expected. Also, pushing the buttons can be a bit difficult as well, but nothing that can't be managed. If you are looking for an inexpensive waterproof case to protect your expensive camera...this is the one.
