Yes, it is cheap and easy and convenient to take apart and put in your backpack. I have many years experience with paddling, and I have never tried a paddle that is so small, weak, and makes you so wet (probably due to the large, unnecessary groves in the blades). However, you can split it into two and let the kids play with it in the canoe.

The paddle’s parts are held together by large plastic O-rings. The paddle fell apart the first time I used it on completely calm water. Every few minutes I had to spend several minutes refastening the parts. The paddle’s head fell off twice. I bought two that both suffered the same problem so I don’t believe the problem is a one-off error. I threw out the paddles; they are useless.

Work great with the inflatable kayak we ordered from you. Easy to carry because it comes apart and packs in a small space. Victoria

Bought this as an emergency paddle for a small sailboat. Haven’t had to use it yet–no emergencies–but its small size, light weight & adjustability make it perfect for the purpose. It can be 3 different lengths–stores easily, too. Probably a little flimsy for regular use–but that’s not what it’s for.

I got 2 because of the price and I am not disappointed. These are ideal for very light use on calm water. They are easy to assemble. They are very long and they will work with my inflatable 2 person kayak but if you are a reasonably handy cheapskate you could shorten them to use with a smaller craft. Do not subject them to heavy use or they will fail. These are for light recreation only and well worth the piece.
